Expérience
I had spent 28 years working in health and social care before starting my career as a nail technician in 2016.
I started by offering treatments to family and friends, with just six gel polish colours, a few pots of acrylic and worked from my dining room table.
As my confidence grew, I started to advertise and work as a mobile technician. I noticed that although my clients loved their treatments, they could never fully relax. They would still go and answer the door or their phone, and their little bit of "me time" was interrupted.
So my goal was to create a space where treatments weren't just another thing on a to-do list, but time set aside, where clients could relax, switch off and enjoy their treatments in peace.
During the pandemic when we all had to stay at home it just felt like the right time to convert my summerhouse and create the private salon space I have today.
With continued education and a growing passion for natural nail care, my business naturally changed. I stopped offering acrylic services and extension so I could fully focus on treatments that support natural nail growth. This changed allowed me to specialise, refine my skills and create a treatment menu with a focus on nail health and personalised care.
